On February 24, 2024, four Seminole High School students had the exciting opportunity to participate in the Young Eagles Flight program the Ada EAA Chapter organized. The event took place at the Ada Regional Airport, where students Garrett Darr, Julian Locust, Ivan Spittler, and Carson Stover each enjoyed a thirty-minute introductory flight. The Young Eagles program, established in 1992, has been dedicated to providing youth between the ages of 8 and 17 with their first free general aviation airplane ride.
The Young Eagles program is unique in its mission to introduce and inspire young individuals to the world of aviation. Over the past 30 years, more than 2.3 million young people have had the chance to experience the thrill of flying through this program. These flights are made possible by the generosity and dedication of EAA member volunteers who selflessly contribute their time and resources to make these experiences possible for the youth.
